Our Lady of Guadalupe Necklace

This necklace was designed in honor of Mary’s title, “Our Lady of Guadalupe,” known for her miraculous 1531 apparitions to an indigenous Mexican, Juan Diego, in Tepeyac, near Mexico City, resulting in the image imprinted on his tilma (cloak) and millions of conversions to Catholicism in the Americas. Her image, with dark skin and indigenous features, symbolized unity and hope, ending human sacrifice and fostering respect between indigenous peoples and Spanish colonizers.
